The lending library determines the length of checkout time for an interlibrary loan. Since ILLs are borrowed items from libraries across the US, each institution has a different policy on their due dates. Typically, a MACU patron may have the item for 2 - 4 weeks.
If the due date approaches and you still need the item for an extended period, a renewal request may be put in. This request is sent in, and depending on their policies, the request is either approved or denied by the lending library.
