Instructions on how to use the coil binding machine:
- First, please make sure the machine is plugged in. It will be a thin cord with a box. We have an extension cord for usage if the cord can't reach an outlet.
- Second, make sure you have a front (clear) and back (black) cover to bind, the coil binding comb, two paper clips, the clamping tool, and the papers you need to bind.
- To punch the holes in your papers, make sure you have only ten at a time. You will slide them underneath the punching mechanism. Hold down the lever on top to punch the holes. Make sure you line up your papers to punch correctly. If you don't, you will miss a hole or half-way punch them.
- Next, turn on the rolling mechanism on top with the red button. Use the paper clips on both ends of your papers to secure them in place during the coiling process. You will then feed the coil into the holes of your papers and feed the coils through the first 3-4 holes. The rolling mechanism will allow you to finish turning the coil around the holes by placing the coil against the rolling mechanism.
- Once the coil has completely gone through, use the clampers at the end to cut off the excess coil and pinch the coil so the papers don't fall out.
- Your book is now completed. Please return the items to the binding cabinet and unplug the machine.
Price: Books will cost $1.50.
